Ready to boost employee engagement?
Connect your employees to your culture and values. Create a workplace where everyone thrives.
Definition
You’re probably familiar with QWL (quality of work life), but did you know that since last year it has changed its name to become QWLC (quality of work life AND working conditions)?
QWLC is an initiative from the Anact-Aract network: it can be defined as “actions that make it possible to reconcile both the improvement of employees’ working conditions and the company’s performance.”
The objectives of QWLC are varied, but here are the main ones: building a work organisation that supports people’s health and the company’s overall performance, giving everyone the “power to act” on their work, and improving work today and in the future.

The 6 key dimensions are:
Organisation, content and execution of work
Skills and career paths
Equality at work
Company project and management
Social and professional dialogue
Occupational health and prevention
To implement a QWLC approach in your organisation, Anact has created a 4-step implementation guide as follows: design the approach, carry out the diagnosis, experiment, and make it sustainable.

The key ideas of QWLC
And to go further, here is a summary of Anact’s framework including the key ideas of QVCT:
Each company implements the QVCT approach according to its own challenges, situation and environment, but with a shared vision.
QVT is a collective approach that aims to sustainably engage the entire company: it is based on a shared commitment and joint work by management, employees and employee representatives where they exist.
QVT aims to enable quality work, under “good” conditions and above all in the interest of all stakeholders (employees, company, clients, users).
It focuses on work, on how it is carried out and on employment conditions, in order to bring about concrete and lasting improvements. In short, it is both a factor in people’s health and a lever for overall and sustainable performance for the company.
The purpose of QVT is to facilitate social and professional dialogue to improve work at the different levels of the company.
The benefits of good QVT are numerous: it creates a positive working environment in which relationships are healthy and employee well-being is taken into account. It also supports skills development by encouraging continuous training and professional growth and, finally, boosts team engagement and satisfaction by taking into account employees’ needs and expectations.
Steps to organise QVT Week
The 2025 programme

This year, QVT Week will take place from 17 to 21 June 2025! If you would like to know more about the programme, you will find all the information on the Anact website.
The theme for 2025 is "Anticipating tomorrow’s work". The aim is to get informed, discuss and implement actions upstream to foster better relationships, management and organisation within companies.
On this occasion, many organisations will be running special initiatives around well-being at work, but not only that, in order to create key moments of conviviality internally. Why not you?
Here are several ideas for actions to organise QVT Week in your company:
Identify priority topics: this year, the theme is “anticipating the work of tomorrow.” You can therefore identify topics related to your company and aligned with this theme, such as remote work, proper posture at the office to reduce risks, mental health, stress management, etc. To help you choose the main topic, we recommend preparing a questionnaire in advance that you can send to your teams to get their feedback on the topics they would like to prioritize.
Choose the right activity formats: don’t hesitate to vary the formats; you can organize a meeting with your teams to discuss them and see what is most suitable for your company. Here are a few examples: a conference, a team-building activity, an event with professionals, etc.
Plan the week’s schedule: to do this, alternate between theoretical moments (training sessions, conferences, etc.) and practical moments with activities to create strong team-building opportunities with your staff. You can use the tool Notion to define the objectives for this week and the schedule.
And finally, set a budget for the week!
Once all these steps have been completed beforehand, all that’s left is to wait for the big day to put them into practice and offer the activities to your teams!
4 workshops to set up with your team for QWL Week
You’ve decided to take part in QWL Week with your employees but you’re short on ideas for workshops and activities? What if you set up activities designed around your company’s values? Here are 4 activities and workshops to organize with your teams for better Quality of Work Life and Conditions!
Organize an Eli challenge
Eli is the mobile app that helps you engage your teams on CSR and sustainable development topics through challenges and actions to complete. The added bonus? You can customize your actions according to your needs and goals (QWL Week, food, commuting, digital, etc.). Over a few days, a week, or even throughout the year, organize challenges with your employees and use our tool to measure different indicators in real time and adjust them if needed. To get a demo, contact our team and we’ll be happy to talk with you, present our solution, and learn more about your needs.
Organize a team-building activity
There are many types of team-building activities, but to stay aligned with the theme, we recommend taking part in a QWL Fresco workshop offered by Groupe JLO! It’s a collective intelligence workshop focused on developing QWL through: Better anticipating, Better living together, Better self-fulfilment, and Better working.
Groupe JLO is an HR consulting firm specializing in Quality of Work Life and Working Conditions. They have compiled all their expertise into a single activity: the QWL Fresco, with two goals: to raise awareness among as many people as possible about QWL issues and to help organizations structure and organize themselves in order to implement concrete and long-lasting actions to improve Quality of Work Life and Working Conditions. If you’re interested in this 3-hour workshop, you’ll find all the information on their website.
Offer a workplace well-being talk with professionals
In addition to “well-being” activities at work such as an introduction to eye yoga, breathing, good posture, etc., why not organize a talk related to this year’s theme?
You can find on the WeChamp website (an agency providing speakers and public figures for your events) around fifty speakers selected for QVTC Week and specialized in different fields. On the agenda: remote work and management, stress and sleep management, nutrition, burnout prevention, different relaxation techniques… There is something for every need, so make your choice from this great selection!
Organize a workshop on workplace risks and how to avoid them
Finally, we recommend taking a look at Goalmap which can support you with tailored solutions to help you take care of your employees’ physical and mental health. Their team can offer talks, workshops, and training sessions based on your needs and areas of focus.
For example, you will find: training in first aid in the workplace, preventing road risks at work, talks on sleep, alertness, and safety, as well as workshops to prevent stress and improve mental health at work.
We hope these different workshops will give you ideas for organizing QVTC Week in your company. In the meantime, if you would like to learn more about Eli or get a demo, visit our website!
